THE CARING PLACE - MIAMI RESCUE MISSION

The Caring Place is the Miami Rescue Mission’s hub for serving men, women, and children experiencing homelessness. It provides meals, shelter, recovery programs, job training, and spiritual care, helping people move from crisis to stability.

  • Volunteers will join the kitchen team to prep meals, serve food to guests, and help clean, creating a dignifying and welcoming environment.

  • Lot behind the building (enter through alley by Marathon gas station). Additional parking in front—watch for Pay-by-Phone signs.

  • Volunteers must be 12+ to serve in this project.

  • Volunteers should wear long pants, a t-shirt with at least short sleeves, and comfortable closed-toe non-slip shoes for kitchen work. Open-toe shoes, heels, shorts, mini-skirts, and revealing clothing are not allowed.

TOUCHING MIAMI WITH LOVE - PAINT DAY

Touching Miami with Love (TML) has been serving children, youth, and families in Miami’s most vulnerable neighborhoods for over 25 years. Their mission is to inspire, empower, and equip the next generation by providing safe spaces, educational support, and enrichment opportunities that help children and families thrive.

  • Prep the space (tape, drop cloths, move furniture), paint interior walls and trim, and help organize classrooms once everything’s done.

  • On-site parking lot.

  • Volunteers 15 and older are welcome—bring your friends or family along!

  • If you have a Crossbridge t-shirt, wear it to rep the team! If not, come in comfortable clothing with closed-toe shoes (no sandals or heels). Don’t forget to bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated.

BUDDY SYSTEM MIAMI

Buddy System Miami is a grassroots nonprofit addressing food insecurity with creative community initiatives. Since 2020, Crossbridge has partnered with them to run a food pantry and support their citywide community fridge network.

  • During this Serve Opportunity, volunteers will help pack food for community fridges across Miami. After packing, teams will head out to different locations to deliver the food, clean the fridges, and restock them with fresh packages—helping ensure our city has access to healthy, free meals.

  • Crossbridge parking lot.

  • Volunteers must be 12+ to serve in this project.
