Serving a Meal
The Caring Place is the Miami Rescue Mission’s hub for serving men, women, and children experiencing homelessness. It provides meals, shelter, recovery programs, job training, and spiritual care, helping people move from crisis to stability.

Volunteers will join the kitchen team to prep meals, serve food to guests, and help clean, creating a dignifying and welcoming environment.

Lot behind the building (enter through alley by Marathon gas station). Additional parking in front—watch for Pay-by-Phone signs.

Volunteers must be 16+ to serve in this project.

Volunteers should wear long pants, a t-shirt with at least short sleeves, and comfortable closed-toe non-slip shoes for kitchen work. Open-toe shoes, heels, shorts, mini-skirts, and revealing clothing are not allowed.

Fill a Bag
Fill a Bag is a local environmental group that helps raise awareness of the dangers of waste pollution and coordinates various cleanups throughout the year

Volunteers will join the Fill a Bag team to collect trash and debris along the beach and nearby spaces, helping restore the beauty of the shoreline and making the environment safer for the community and wildlife.

Perfect for families! Children are welcome as long as they’re accompanied by an adult, this is a great way to serve together.

Come in comfortable clothes, bring sunscreen, a hat, and a bottle of water to stay cool and protected while serving.
